I.— BOT., ZOOL., adj. [En parlant de vaisseaux, de trachées] Qui transporte de l'air.
II.— TECHNOL., subst. masc. Appareil qui sert à renouveler l'air dans les milieux viciés :
• [En utilisant] des pressions [élevées il est] possible d'emporter (...) une masse gazeuse beaucoup plus considérable que dans les aérophores primitifs.
